i ask a gauging question
but you all stare down at the table
in silence
i say
i don't know how to interpret that
you all smile
the one who reassures me
is then the one most confused
seconds later
adults discuss literature
and a rolling stone article
ending in titty chips
oh, and i missed the premiere of that great show
because i'm going to bed 15 minutes before
it airs
saddened but
too tired to care

    anyway i really like how all your poems are kind of about the everyday but/and are nice and spare in style and well put together.
