I am done resolving to change
for a new year
when I consistently change
with new knowledge
everyday.
I am done contorting my frame
to fit someone else's picture of me.
I am not changing one thing about how
and who
I am.
Not for a new year.
Not for anybody.
Instead.
I will celebrate every version
of me
that
I create,
finding smiles in shadows.
I will continue to be someone
who learns
and grows
and changes,
ever so slightly,
every day.
In every action and intention
With hope and gratitude
I live with the purpose to change.
